Dr. Renã A. S. Robinson: Women & Diversity Speaker 2023

This week we had our first Women & Diversity Speaker Dr. Renã Robinson who is the Dr. Dorothy Phillips Chancellors Chair at Vanderbilt University. We also hosted Dr. Phillips to have a luncheon highlighting Women and Diversity for career chemists speaking on topics like intentionality, overcoming barriers, work-life balance, and activities to promote diversity. We want to thank our amazing women panelists and the audience of graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from UC chemistry.

Dr. Robinson’s research talk highlighted the racial disparity in Alzheimer’s disease and the use of ‘omics for understanding the proteins prevalent in patient samples. We really enjoyed the research talk and our visitors esteemed company.
